Rising in Love on Valentine's Day
Just in time for Valentine's Day, it's a joy to share the recent publication "Rising in Love", a collection of original poetry and photography by the elusive LEO (Love Each Other).
Here is some background, taken from the ebook's foreword that I was honored to write.
During the summer of 2017, a man of uncertain origin and age could be spotted by the Seine at the crack of dawn. In Paris, it is an hour known to few creatures other than rats and night-clubbers.
There is much speculation about why he was there, unfailing, at every dawn...searching for the sublime.
On November 5, 2017, the full morning moon hung high in the west. Its beams lit the tip of Ile de la Cité, where a small notebook and camera had been left behind. Like some offering, the words and images of every dawn lay waiting there, beneath the weeping willow.
In a postscript, LEO wrote that Love felt like the river flowing through his heart, and with it came the words.
Returning to this river again and again, never to see the same water, reminded him of the transformation of love during his own life.
The work captures each distinctive break of day, reminding us of the special energy that dwells in new beginnings. Every sunrise is a new beginning.
